Moulthrop for Virginia Senate on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) Awareness Day

A disproportionate number of Indigenous women and children are murdered and reported missing every year.

My team understands THIS IS A CRISIS facing our Indigenous community.

Today, we reflect on the generations of Indigenous families who have been forced to face the devastating reality of the murder or disappearance of a loved one.

When I am elected as your Virginia Senator, I will fight for legislation that not only shines a spotlight on this growing crisis, but promotes the protection of all women and children in our Commonwealth by ensuring that law enforcement has all necessary resources to enforce the law.

I know Loudoun County Sheriff Chapman and I speak with one voice when we say WE MUST PROTECT our children, our families, and our County by ensuring the safety of all residents including our Indigenous communities.
